What Customers really want!

Never lose sight of the fact that your website is all about what YOUR customer wants.
In research with nearly 80% of consumers the most important factor they said was….
“How easy is it for me to find what I want ?”
Don’t :
- Don’t obsess over the visual design of your website.
- Don’t worry if you or others think your website does not look pretty.
- Don’t use flash, heavy graphics or tons of video.
- Don’t reinvent the wheel when it comes to design & layout.
- Don’t obsess over how many hits you are getting. It’s all about conversions not hits.
- Do not get excited about getting page 1 ranking for your business name. (you should be)
- Don’t use flash! Yes worth putting in twice!
Your website is a product and therefore ease of use is key, design & looking pretty count for nothing if customers cannot find it!
Do :
- Do consistently add unique, relevant content.
- Do worry about the conversion rate of your site.
- Do make it very easy for your customer to get what they want from your site.
- Do use a basic layout that is familiar to your customers (it’s tried, tested & works)
- Do have clear “call to actions” on your site.
- Do remember people don’t care about you or your products/services, it’s always about what you can do for them. (Harsh but true)
- Do consistently add unique, relevant content. Yes this is so important which is why it’s worth repeating.
Today’s websites should be dynamic, interactive and easy to use. They are your most powerful marketing tool & should be working to help deliver a steady, consistent & predictable flow of leads to your business.
Remember, there are only two types of websites.... Those that achieve your business goals and those that don't!!
